Many club members are already aware of the restorative qualities of Marie’s breakfasts and now they are spiritually endorsed.
On Saturday morning, the club hosted the Eccles Churches Mens Breakfast Group, who have written to complement the club on its hospitality and we look forward to their return in May. Guest speaker at the breakfast was the Right Reverend Doctor David Walker, Lord Bishop of Manchester. That’s right, a member of the House of Lords tucking into a fry up in our clubhouse. There are no aires and graces with Bishop David, his father worked at Magnesium Electron in Swinton and he studied at Manchester Grammar and Cambridge (competing in the 1975 International Mathematical Olympiad) before joining the clergy.
Eccles Rugby Football Club has played its part in community life for over 125 years, and we continue to welcome local groups, schools, organisations and businesses (yes even footballers) to use and enjoy our facilities.
