Plenty of reasons to get your coat on and get down to the club for some Christmas cheer this December.

Annual Festive Fossils gathering
In order to accommodate all the expected attendees, this year we are holding the fossils night in our own clubhouse with a sumptious buffet and a fully stocked bar. Tickets are £12 per person, which includes your first pint. All interested parties, should contact club Hon. Secretary Dave Nicholls 07867 724264 davenicholls_abc@hotmail.com so he can finalise arrangements for catering as soon as possible.
Saturday 11 Dec.
Annual Senior Players Outing
1XV and 2XV fixtures at home will be followed by the traditional Christmas players (Male and Female) night out - this year to Marble Brewery Tap Room (Kansas Avenue, Salford, M50 2GN) Transport will start leaving club at 6:30pm. https://www.marblebeers.com/the-tap-room/ Food will be available to purchase at the brewery.After tasting the wares of one of Salford’s finest breweries the convoy will navigate onto Salford Quays.
Saturday 18 Dec
Annual Christmas Carol Concert
1XV and 2XV fixtures away. Ladies fixture at home, followed by the annual Christmas sing along, accompanied by Eccles Borough Band. Start time approx. 6:30pm.
Sunday 19 Dec
Breakfast with Santa
Following a training session for the mini’s, including a number of push ups, trunk curls, bench presses and the usual uncoordinated mayhem, the little ones will be taken into the clubhouse where a VIP will make a surprise appearance. Parents are asked to book a place for their children by contacting Rachel Nicholls or Hilary Berry. Please note, due to an expected high demand, this event will probably involve two sittings, proposed timings are approx. 10:00 and 11:00. Beware, the entertainment may contain Nuts.
Ps. Whilst the minis have thier fun and games inside, outside the older Junior teams will be enjoying Lancashire Challenge Cup matches, Kicking Off 11:00.
Monday 27 Dec
Annual Christmas Charity Match
KO 2:00pm. Eccles President’s XV vs Eccles Chairman’s XV – plus numerous replacements. The usual International Standard game will take place to entertain the baying crowd. This will be followed by seasonal revelry within the clubhouse.
Please note that face coverings are not legally required inside the club on a typical weekend post match situation when drinking and eating, but they will be required at the busy crowded Christmas events. Please consider others and mask up indoors. Thank you.
