All Adult and Age-Grade Rugby activities at Eccles RFC are suspended until further notice.
To counter the continued rise in rates of Coronvirus transmission, the Government have announced that England is to immediatley enter its third national lockdown. Exercise in a public outdoor place by yourself or with the people you live with is permitted, but indoor gyms and outdoor sports venues must close. The RFU have confirmed this morning that Community Rugby will cease and return to 'Stage A' of the Return to Rugby Roadmap.
Our club facilites are closed but a coaches' zoom meeting this week will discuss plans for home activity during lockdown for all our players. This article and club social media will be updated with more details when we have them.

Senior Rugby
The 1XV and 2XV friendlies planned for this Saturday 9 January are postponed. The Lancashire Leagues Committee have announced the ADM Micro Leagues, due to commence fixtures on Saturday 16 January, are postponed until March, as are the NOWIRUL Leagues.

LADIES
The RFU has cancelled the adult female Cluster Fixtures. We have no confirmation as yet on replacement local fixtures.
COLTS
The North West Colts League is cancelled and will not take place this season but a Colts competition may yet take place in the Spring, if restrictions permit.
Age-Grade Rugby
All Schools are closed until February half term. It seems likely that any decisions on mini & junior training sessions or future fixtures will not be possible until then.
