Due to Covid concerns, all our scheduled Senior fixtures this Saturday 18 December are postponed.
The Mens 1XV v West Park St Helens, 2XV v Manchester and Ladies v Didsbury Toc H matches will be rearranged for the New Year and dates will be announced in due course.
The Annual Christmas Brass Band Carol Concert will go ahead as planned, 6pm ish.
We ask everyone visiting the club to be responsible, respectful and considerate. During busy periods, we are encouraging the wearing of masks inside the clubhouse, for those not eating or drinking. Our social spaces will be kept ventilated and we will be asking visitors to observe sensible soclal distancing. The Lancashire Junior Cup matches this Sunday 19 December are cancelled but other Mini & Junior activities will go ahead as planned.
With consideration to concerns over rising infection rates, the RFU have requested that clubs advise sensible precautions in order to protect players, members and visitors, including:
- Encouraging players, coaches, members, to undertake Lateral Flow Tests ahead of attending and to self-isolate if the test is positive.
- Minimising use of changing rooms - players should be encouraged to arrive in kit, changing rooms should be ventilated where possible and face masks must be warn.
- Reminding members to follow government and public health guidance on mask wearing.
- Minimising travel with other people.
All Eccles RFC players, coaches and team personnel should continue to complete a pro-active declaration before arrival at the club.
If you are unwell, or have tested positive, or are living with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please do not come to the club.
