We are delighted to see Eccles RFC highlighted in the RFU community news this week with our effective support of local schools Touch Rugby and how the weekly social sessions have benefitted recruitment of girls to our club.
Well done to our Community Rugby Coach James Wright and congratulations to Salford City Academy, whose pupils have been selected to showcase their skills on the Twickenham pitch at half-time in the England vs Ireland 6 Nations international this Saturday!
Touch Union is the RFU's new non-contact format of the game. It's fun, fast-flowing and social, while still building on the core rugby union skills, ideal for schools or clubs as an alternative to full contact rugby and perfect for any age or playing ability.
