There’s loads of fun on and off the pitch at Eccles RFC. On the 8th and 15th of February members of our U11s, U10s and U9s teams (including Oliver, Sam, William, Harrison, Jess, Alfie,  Billy, Orla, Mounty and Oliver C) were invited to be audience members for CBBC’s Saturday Mash-Up! filmed and broadcast from Dock10 studios, Media City, Salford.

The Saturday morning live entertainment show, hosted by Harpz Kaur, Joe Tasker and Stanley features games, musical toilets, celebrity guests, plenty of chaotic mayhem and lots of slime! (a perfect fit for rugby players right!)

Harrison said “I enjoyed doing something other than rugby together with my team and my best bit was being part of the quiz show and guessing the missing word from a Lewis Capaldi song to score a point for my team”. Oliver said “I loved the sliming - never saw anything like that before!  William said “It was great fun, a really different thing to do, my favourite thing was the slime!”  Sam said “I had a great time! It was hilarious, especially when they dropped slime on some of the kids!”  I think we can take it the slime was liked.
