Mini Warrior Session: Sunday 1st November 2020 10am- 11am

The Eccles RFC 'Mini Warrior' session will be a whole-club engagement event to celebrate our junior female players and give them an opportunity to engage and connect with their peers from other age groups. Our aim is to demonstrate to girls and parents, the progression pathway we have in place for junior players to develop at the club, promoting the goal of representing Eccles RFC in the Senior Women’s squad.

The inclusive event will be similar in structure to the Senior Ladies RFU Inner Warrior initiative and the sessions will prioritise the enjoyment of rugby and the empowerment of female players. We hope it will help to build a larger profile for the Women & Girls community within the club and encourage recruitment at all levels. We hope this first pilot session will inspire our girls to become Eccles Rugby Ambassadors in their schools. A second session is planned for the end of November.

The club would like to thank the sponsors of this initiative - Ideal Lawns, Eccles Labour Councillors and First Aid & More for their generocity. Without their support the event would not be possible.
