Congratulations to Detysha Harper on her call up to the Women's England Squad for Sunday's 6 Nations game against Ireland.

Salford born England U20 Loosehead prop Tysh, began her rugby career at Eccles RFC aged 15. Her brother played for Eccles and her mum Julie brought her along to join the girls team just before her 16th birthday, as part of Trev Parrot's school engagment programme.  At school Tysh played rounders, netball and football as there was no rugby team. She began playing as a number 8, then second-Row and moved to prop when she was 18. Tysh played for the Eccles RFC Girls U15s and U18s teams coached by Declan O'Regan, and was Eccles U18 Captain before moving on to Waterloo Ladies. Tysh is currently studying Psychology at Loughborough University and was invited into the England camp in the autumn after impressing coach Simon Middleton with her form at Loughborough Lightning. Detysha is named on the bench as replacement prop and is in line for her first Red Roses cap this Sunday 23rd February at Castle Park, Doncaster. Everyone at Eccles RFC is proud of her acheivments and wishes her well.
