Happy New Year!

We hope you've enjoyed your Christmas break. Welcome back.

  • Senior training recommences 7pm Tuesday 4th January.
  • Mini & Junior training recommences 6.30pm Wednesday 5th January.
  • Competitive fixtures recommence on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th January and our bar and coffee shop will be open as normal.

New Year Recruits

If you’ve resolved to return to rugby in 2022, or would like to try it for the first time, you’re welcome to join us at Eccles RFC, where we will be celebrating our 125th anniversary!

Our players and teams, from u5s to adults, enjoy great facilities throughout the winter including a floodlit 3G artificial pitch and our club membership represents great value. For more details or assistance in joining the club this January email us at info@ecclesrfc.org.uk or click this link MEMBERSHIP

New Club Covid Protocol

In order to comply with the latest Government and RFU guidance, and with consideration to the welfare and protection of our players and members, the club has amended its covid policy and asks all visitors to take note of the following:

  • Matches and training will go ahead as normal. There are currently no restrictions on Adult or Age Grade Rugby or how many people can participate in activities outdoors and we look forward to you enjoying your time at Gorton Street.
  • Before arrival at the club, all Eccles RFC players and team personnel should complete a negative Lateral Flow Test and an online pro-active declaration to confirm they are fit to participate. We ask all visiting players to do the same.
  • Please do not come to the club if you are unwell or have tested positive for COVID-19.
  • If you have tested positive for COVID-19 you can return to activities at the club if you get negative lateral flow test results on day 6 and day 7 of your self-solation.
  • If you are living with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, but you are fully vaccinated or aged under 18, you can attend the club once you have completed a negative Lateral Flow Test and completed a pro-active declaration.
  • Players and visitors should avoid shared travel where possible.
  • Players should bring their own water bottle and ideally arrive ready to play to minimise the use of changing rooms, which should be ventilated where possible. When using the changing rooms the club encourages players to wear face coverings and observe social distancing.
  • When inside the clubhouse the club encourages the use of hand sanitiser and the wearing of face coverings for visitors who are not consuming food and beverages or using the gym.
In short, we're asking all visitors to the club to be responsible and considerate. Thank you for your support.
