Eccles RFC is sad to learn that club member and former player Ken Faulkner died last Friday 12th July, aged 91.

Ken, who joined Eccles RFC in 1948 (the year Eccles RFC made Gorton Street it's new home) and has remained an active member since, sadly passed away at Salford Royal Hospital after suffering a stroke on Father’s day. He captained  the club in the 1957-58 season and was made Honorary President of the Junior Section in the 1990’s. Ken was still attending match days with his daughter Janet last season.
Ken’s funeral will take place at Peel Green Crematorium on Wednesday 24th July at 12.20 pm followed by refreshments at “The Clubhouse” (Formerly Boysnope Golf Club) M30 7RF.
The club extends sincere condolances to Ken's family.
If any members have images or memories of Ken they would like to share please pass onto Andy Brunt.
