At last night's Annual Lancashire County RFU Awards Dinner, Eccles RFC were presented with the President's Shield as the Ernie Neely Lancashire Junior CLUB OF THE YEAR!
To quote Mr Mark Downs Lancashire RFU Honorary Secretary "Junior is the status given to clubs playing at Level 5 and below and the award pays tribute to Eccles' uneclipsed season with Mens promotions, development of a second Womens side, the strength of our youth section, our our volunteer ethos and the health of the club as a whole”.
All things grow and flourish with belief and sustained effort. With a nomination for the prestigious Kings Award for Voluntary Service also added to the accolades, we have a lot to be proud of with the achievements of last season.
