The club has recieved a letter of apprecaition from Janet Faulkner, daughter of Ken Faulkner, who passed away on 12th July.
"Dear Rugby Club Friends. Thankyou for your support of my father over the years. He was very proud of his association with the club , from the 'old' to the young members. In more recent years you went out of your way to make both dad and myself very welcome, from chatting to us, to Marie making sure we could park easily. We were so glad so many of you could make the funeral and celebrate the life of an old (91 years) former player. Also to those who could not be present on the day, who contacted me and infomred members of his death. I will pop in to see you and watch a game with Shiela (from the comfort of our indoor spot) and make contact with you again. My grateful thanks and best wishes for your new season. Janet Faulkner."
Ken joined Eccles RFC in 1948, was captain in 1957-58 and was still attending match days last season.
