Welcome back (almost) to Rugby!
Our Men are already training and our Women and Age Grade players will soon return to activities so now seems like a good time to update you on Registration and Membership which opens in July.
As previously communicated, from the 2024/25 season onwards, all players at all levels of the game (including non-contact Touch and Walking Rugby from April 2025) will be required to register themselves annually on GMS (Game Management System) to play rugby.
The benefits for players include the ability to keep your rugby record for life and the potential to access your playing record and performance stats. The benefits for club volunteers is reduced administrative workload.
If you do not have a GMS account please create one before the new season starts.
If you are already a registered member at Eccles and have a GMS account please make sure your email is verified.
Registration and club membership renewal is done online via GMS using a mobile phone or a desktop. Fees can be paid in a single payment or spread over a number of months with payment instalments.
When you've successfuly completed your membership transaction you'll receive a ‘Payment Success’ email confirmation from GMS with the Eccles RFC badge at the top. If you don't receive this email, please check your email junk folder, check and verfiy your email address on GMS, or check your GMS basket for an incomplete transaction.
If you need assistance with setting up your GMS profile, completing registration, renewing your club membership, or overcoming financial hardship the club will endeavour to help. Age Grade Player Registration
On Monday 1st July 2024, parents and guardians of age grade rugby players that were registered in 2023/24 will receive an email (if it is verified) asking them to register their players for the 2024/25 season on GMS.
Age Grade Player Registration and Club Membership is a fully online annual process for our players between U6 to U18. RFU Regulation requires players to be registered online each season within 45 days of the start of the season or from first joining the club.
If paying membership fees in instalments, parents are asked to make an initial payment of £60 to cover the cost of kit provision, which next season will be a new training top.

Adult Player Registration
The RFU have decided Adult Player Registration will go live in mid-July 2024 and players will recieve information by email (if it is verified).
All adults will need to register to play rugby and students will need to register to play at their club or university. Only registered player members can be selected and submitted on a GMS EMC (Electronic Match Card).
Membership renewal for next season will be open from 1st July. However, Adult Registration on GMS will not be live until mid July, so if you wait two weeks you can sort your registration and your membership at the same time with one visit to GMS.

New Players / New Members
To join the club as a new member you first need to register and create a new account with the RFU on GMS by clicking this link https://gms.rfu.com/GMS/Dashboard/Organisation/EcclesRFC
Please note parents / guardians will need to register alongside any players that are under 18 years.
Once an RFU account has been created please select and purchase a club membership.

Eccles RFC membership offers teriffic value for first rate facilities and our fees will be unchanged for the 2024/25 season.

*Please note the discounted Student membership (Colts, University and Unemployed players) will not be visible online. Please apply by email to the membership secretary membership@ecclesrfc.org.uk Once your application is approved you'll be able to purchase the membership in the standard way via GMS.
The big news for next season is ALL ECCLES RFC MEMBERSHIPS will include FREE ADMISSION to all Mens 1XV home fixtures. Non Members will be required to pay admission fees on the gate.
