REGULATIONS
Conduct - We're all looking forward to a great afternoon of competitve colts cup rugby. Please remember Players, Coaches and Spectators are all subject to disciplinary sanctions should they transgress the Laws of the Game or the RFU Code of Conduct. Obscene and offensive language is contrary to the spirit and ethos of the game. Spectators must refrain from abusing Players or Referees and must remain outside the playing enclosure behind barriers at all times and must never enter the field of play.
Match Card - All players must be registered and named on the Match Card. The Half-Game Rule applies. All matches must start with a trained, recognised front row, the offending Team forfeits the game. In the event of a match going to Uncontested Scrums then RFU Regulations 13.5.10 and 13.5.11 (Man-Off Rule) apply.
Technical Area - During the match, Replacements, yellow-carded players and Team Officials (Coach, Physio) must remain within the marked technical areas. Coaches are not allowed to enter the field of play, other than at half time. Coaches must not tramp the touchlines inciting players with verbose coaching instructions. If the coach wants to move up and down the touchline it must be done from behind the barrier. Replacements should wear a top that differentiates them from the players. Replacements can only leave the technical area to warm up, or to bring on water and a kicking tee. Yellow carded players must stay silent and not shout instructions to the players. Red Carded Players must go behind the barrier and can not be in the technical area. The Physio or First Aider must remain in the technical area unless attending to injury and a protocol for entering the field should be agreed with the referee before kick off.
Result - In the event of a draw after 70 minutes there is no extra time; the result is decided on the number of tries, then number of conversions from tries; If still equal, 5 penalty kicks at goal will be taken alternately by different players, from the 22 metre line in front of the goal posts. Kickers will be selected only from those on the pitch. The Team with the most successful number of kicks wins.
