Congratulations to James Lucas (U12s) on achieving his England Rugby Coaches Award.
James played as a colt and 1XV player at Eccles and decided to get back involved by assisting with coaching when his son began playing.
The 3-day course took place over 3-month period and included active pitch sessions and home study tasks.
James enjoyed the course and he encourages other former players (and dads) to get their boots back on!

Congratulations also to Pietro Carinci (U9s) and Kristian Icely (U11s) on achieving their England Rugby Referees Award.
The 2-day course tested their knowledge of the laws but both agree it has increased their confidence, enjoyment and perspective of Rugby.
Pietro and Kristian stepped up from football-playing backgrounds and have done themselves proud with this qualification and done their team and club a great service.
Match officials are pivotal in the safety of players and thier enjoyment of the game. In fact, without them we'd have no games.
Well done Gentlemen. We wish you good whistling.

The club has the opportunity to host the RFU 'Game Changers' course here on home soil at Gorton Street on Thursday 12th March 2020 and urgently needs the commitment of 10 coaches to make it happen.
