The recent Government announcement on the lifting of COVID restictions is welcome news for the players, coaches, members and volunteers of Eccles RFC.
Just over a month from now we'll be able to enjoy the physical and mental health benefits of being involved in team sport once again.
The club intends to resume its outdoor activities from March 29th and we’ll proceed from there based on Government and RFU guidance. As soon as we have any details on the protocols for a return to rugby or news of competitive games, we will inform coaches.
We expect our adult training sessions to resume from Tuesday 30th March at 7pm.
We expect our Mini & Junior training sessions to resume from Easter Sunday 4th April at 10am.
Please note the club will be reinstating the Pro-Active Covid-19 declaration for everyone visiting the club.
From 12th April we hope our Gym will be able to re-open and we can begin serving food and drinks outdoors.
From 17th May we hope indoor hospitality can return to the clubhouse, although gatherings of over 30 people will remain illegal.
From 21st June it’s hoped all legal restrictions will be lifted and we can begin to think about hosting social and fund raising events.
