Today's 1XV game Eccles v Widnes has been called off. The pitches are unplayable.

The club apologises for the late notice but the conditions were different at the 8am pitch check this morning.

However the clubhouse still open this afternoon, with sport on tv and, for today only, cask ale is discounted to £2 per pint!
The weather outlook looks bleak across the weekend and Mini & Junior rugby tomorrow is also cancelled.
