The RFU have confirmed that spectators are permitted in community outdoor sport in Tier 3, as long as social distancing (2m), non-mixing of households and group size (6) restrictions are observed at all times, and spectators disperse once the game is finished.
With this announcement, the club welcomes its members to the touchline for its traditional Christmas charity fund raising game, but asks all players and visitors to respect the strict rules. Observing the rules during play but then disregarding them off the pitch is irresponsible and jeopardizes public health and the case for safe sport to continue. More details from our 'leaders' are published here Government guidance on sport
Please note the clubhouse will remain closed.
Saturday 26 December: Ladies KO 12:00, Men KO 14:00.
For the avoidance of doubt, if Greater Manchester is placed in Tier 4 the game will not go ahead. Adult community rugby is not permitted in Tier 4 areas and players cannot move in or out of Tier 4 to train or play. The government’s guidance states organised outdoor sport for under-18s and disabled people is allowed in Tier 4.
