The rugby season is over, but that does not mean the club is closed. Far from it. With Mini & Junior team Presentation events throughout May, Touch Rugby, Walking Rugby, the Rugby Premiership Final, three England v Australia Tests on TV and the annual Eccles Beer Festival already in the events calendar it's looking like a busy summer season at Eccles RFC.

Touch Rugby

Played throughout the summer on Saturday mornings, 10am - 12 noon, followed by refreshments in the clubhouse. For details contact James ‭07791 227616‬

Junior Touch Rugby

Played throughout the summer on Wednesday evenings, 6pm - 7pm, starting June 8th. Suitable for age groups U12s - U15s. For details contact Dan ‭‭07789 202189

Walking Rugby

Played throughout the summer on Monday evenings, 7pm - 8pm, followed by refreshments in the clubhouse. For details contact Alan 07747 570345‬

May Events

Friday 20th -U11’s & U12’s Presentations at 7pm.

Saturday 21st – U14’s Presentation at 2pm. U13’s Girls and U13’s Boys Presentations at 6pm.

Saturday 21st -  Eccles RFC v Littleborough RUFC in the Lancashire Plate Final, at Wigan RUFC, KO 12pm

Friday 27th – U16’s Presentation at 7pm.

Saturday 28th – U9’s presentation at 6:30pm

Saturday 28th - European Rugby Champions Cup Final Leinster v La Rochelle KO 4.45pm.  

Saturday 28th - European Champions League Final Real Madrid v Liverpool KO 8pm. 

June Events

Monday 6th – AGM at 8pm

Wednesday 8th - Junior Touch Rugby starts. School Pitches, 6pm - 7pm.

Saturday 11th – Touch Rugby followed by Premiership Semi’s, KO 1pm and KO 4pm.

Saturday 18th – Touch Rugby followed by Premiership Final KO 3pm. *Cask Ale promotion.

Tuesday 28th – Mens Pre-season training commences.

July Events

Saturday 2nd - Touch Rugby. On the screens England v Australia 1st Test KO 10:55am.

Saturday 9th - Touch Rugby. On the screens England v Australia 2nd Test KO 10:55am.

Saturday 16th - Volunteer Day. Touch Rugby. England v Australia 3rd Test KO 10:55am.

Saturday 30th - Touch Rugby - International Mens Friendly Fixture vs Rotterdamse Studenten Rugby Club (RSRC). KO 3pm.

August Events

Saturday 13th – Womens and Girls Event. TBC

Friday 19th – Eccles Beer, Gin & Rum Festival, 2:30pm - 10:30pm

Saturday 20th - Eccles Beer, Gin & Rum Festival, 12:30pm - 11:00pm.

Saturday 20th - “Eccles Cup” Mens Rugby Invitational Charity Tournament. Competitors TBC.

Sunday 21st – Eccles Beer, Gin & Rum Festival, 12:30pm - 5pm. Family Day.

Saturday 27th - Eccles 3XV vs Trafford MV 3XV at home (pre-season friendly). KO 3pm.
