Wed 30 Dec 2020 17:03

From midnight tonight, Wednesday 30th December, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire will move to Tier 4 Covid-19 restrictions. These restrictions have so far been reviewed on a fortnightly basis, so we do not expect a change in the situation until 13th January.

In Tier 4 Adult rugby is not permitted. Consequently, Senior training is cancelled until further notice and the Men's 1XV and 2XV fixtures vs MMU planned for Saturday 9 January are postponed. The 1XV Home fixture on Saturday 16 January may still go ahead subject to government review.

In Tier 4 age-grade Rugby activities can continue.
Mini and Junior players are allowed to travel within the Tier 4 area to train or play, accompanied by one parent/carer. Volunteers, including coaches and match officials, can travel within their Tier 4 area to enable under 18 rugby activities to take place. Consequently, the return of M&J training on Sunday 3rd January will go ahead as planned.
The changing rooms will be available for access to toilets only.
The club gym is closed. The clubhouse is closed and the takeaway service will cease until further notice.
