The club would like to express a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has donated and pledged their support for the Crowdfunder in the first two days. We've got off to an absolute flyer and smashed through the £10k marker on day one! Club Captain James Wright lead the way and was first in (unusual for a back) with the very first pledge. Former Captain Sean Griffin was our 100th supporter (finger hovering over the button there waiting to be special). We've received support from new friends in our community and from overseas!
Today, with the wonderful endorsement of a £8,000 pledge from Sport England, we have reached and passed through our initial target of £20,000! A donation from our 176th supporter Mr Adrian Chapman this afternoon, took us through the £20k threshold! After 48 hours of crowdfunding we have achieved 182 supporters and £20,500 in pledges.
We are delighted to have received such generosity so swiftly and we're loving all the comments posted by supporters on the Crowdfunder page. Gorton Street HQ is buzzing with the success of the campaign so far but we’re not getting carried way, and we’re not seeing this as 'job done'. There's 26 days to go and we are excited to see where this momentum can take us.
Many of our rewards generously donated by sponsors have been claimed and we'll be looking to add reinforcement rewards in the coming week. The Summer Bundle and limited edition ‘Hoops 100’ Heritage Shirt have proved so popular they are almost completely assigned. So don’t delay if you’d like one!
Please continue to share the club's crowdfunder page, video and social media updates with all your friends, family, colleagues and contacts as we push forward. Thank you.

We are now reaching for our stretch target of £40,000 and are already half way there. Let’s kick on!
