Mon 09 Apr 2024. With a 19-29 bonus point victory away at Tarleton on Saturday the Eccles 1XV have completed the season as runners up with 93 points and are duly promoted to Regional 2 North West (Level 6) with one of the best playing records nationally at Counties 1 (Level 7).

Back to back promotions is only the start for this improving first team full of homegrown talent, who rounded off an outstanding season with an 8-game wining run and were unbeaten away from home. Next season for the Eccles 1XV looks tasty with trips to Douglas IOM, Whitchurch, Vale of Lune and Crewe & Nantwich as well as local fixtures with Bowdon, Burnage and Altrincham Kersal to look forward to.
However, before then mens rugby at Eccles motors on. The 2XV, 3XV, and 4XV all still have fixtures to play this April and all three teams are at the top of their divisions, challenging for titles and fighting for promotion. We wish them all success in particular our young men who are stepping up from colts and finding their feet in senior rugby. Please get down to support them if you can.
