The club is delighted to confirm Jenny Lakin as Women's Captain for the 2026/27 Season.
Jenny joined Eccles in 2022, having previously played at Salford University, starting her career at loosehead prop, before developing her game in the second row. In taking on the captaincy Jenny will be leading the Eccles Ladies team into its 30th year and we wish her and the squad every success.
In response to her appointment, Jenny commented “As the ladies 26/27 captain, I'm excited to be leading the team into the upcoming season as we begin a new chapter in the Womens NC2 North West Division. We've begun our pre-season preparations, we're working hard and everyone is looking forward to the challenge ahead. In advance, I would like to thank the coaches, the club and most importantly my lovely players for their continued support throughout the season. With exciting opportunities in front of us, I would like to see the women’s section continue to grow within the club, so if you're thinking about getting involved, join us at Eccles.
