Eccles RFC are a community rugby club in Greater Manchester with an ambition to play attractive, competitive rugby at the highest possible amateur level. We have over 500 active players (including juniors) and field 4 Mens teams, a Womens team and a Senior Colts team. The club has great facilities including a well equipped Physio room. Next season our Mens 1XV will play Counties 1 (RFU Level 7) and our Womens 1XV will play NC1.
We are looking for a physiotherapist / rehabilitator to lead our physio team, with a focus on injury assessment, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation planning for our Senior Players.
Responsibilities
Candidates will be required to provide:
• Physio services for Tuesday / Thursday evening training sessions
• Pitch side first aid and emergency medical support cover for Saturday / Sunday fixtures.
• Ongoing support for player welfare including advice on injury prevention and rehabilitation, warm up, cool down and training practice.
• Management of administrative tasks including supervision of a physio team, ordering of supplies and equipment and record-keeping.
Qualifications
Candidates must have:
• England Rugby PHICIS level 2 or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working in a sporting environment, preferably in rugby.
• Experience with taping and strapping.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
Hours: 6-8 hours per week.
Pay: TBC depending on experience.
